1.2 - Charlie's First Entry

Entry # 3

My least favourite chore. Laundry. And in our little house, there wasn't enough room to put in a washer and dryer, so I get this. A bucket and a washboard. This sucks. And the clothes take forever to dry on the clothesline. We aren't allowed to move until we're full citizens of this place, so I'm stuck washing my clothes by hand. This makes me miss Sunset Valley so much. … Oops, I wasn't suppose to record where we came from. Shoot. And I'm writing this in pen too. I'll scratch that out. Pretend you never saw it.

Uh, I'm not sure how to do this journaling thing, Maddie said to just write about my day, or my job, or anything really. I don't understand the appeal, but I guess if it makes her happy. Hi there, I'm Charlie. Don't ever call me Charles unless you want to be laying flat on the floor. Is that clear?
Anyway, I love cooking, so I guess they take that stuff into consideration when giving you your assignment job? I'm not sure. But they do want me to do more bar stuff than cooking so maybe not. Either way, I cook at home, and I love it. And Maddie loves it. She can't cook to save her life. Shh, don't tell her I told you that.

And I see that Maddie has yet to really introduce you to Milly. She's the best kitty ever. She's very playful, and rather lazy to be honest, much like myself. Maybe that's why we get along so well. I have her dressed in a little sweater right now, only because outside is still a little cool, and with the whole no fur thing, I don't want her to get chilly. I really don't like vets. So I'd like to avoid that at all costs.
I'm not really sure what else to talk about right now. I won't be doing too many entries, it's mostly going to be Maddie. But I'm sure we'll talk again sometime.

Bye,
Charlie

1.1 - New Job

Entry # 2

We met some of our new neighbours today. Bob and Eliza Pancakes, and Mary Cornwell. Eliza brought a fruit cake. That was very sweet of her. They all stayed and chatted for a few hours before leaving. I'm hoping to keep in contact, and actually have some friends around here. I keep pestering Charlie to get out more. He's very much happy to just stay at home with our cat. It's great that he loves her so much, it makes me hopeful for our kids, that he's gonna love them just as much and spend so much time with them.

I got an awesome job assignment, they called me this morning! They're training me to be a secret agent! I'm not sure why we need secret agents, I thought that was just in the movies. There's no other Nations, so what do they do? Oh well, I'm happy that I won't be bored with my job. Charlie got his assignment too. He's now a dishwasher, though he will have plenty of opportunities to move up the ladder. Especially since they specified they wanted him to move into mixology later, there's some new bars opening up that he will have the chance to work at. I'm happy they didn't take too long to get those assignments to us, I've heard some stories that it took weeks for other sims to get theirs.

I didn't realize how much it would rain in the spring here. Back home, the spring was just a warmer winter really. And hardly any rain. Charlie seems to love it though. He's a strange one, I tell ya.

Prologue - So it Begins

  Entry # 1

My mama told me I should start a journal. To record my thoughts, and maybe give my future children an insight into my life before they were born. I think if I'm going to write a book on my life, I should start with the new beginning of my life. Maybe I'll even get Charlie to join in. That would be cool!
  So here it begins.

This is Charlie. His name is actually Charles, but he thinks it's an old person's name. I agree with him. Plus, his daddy's name is Charles. I've known Charlie since we were babies. Our mamas were in the same class in high school, and honestly, everyone knows everyone where I grew up. It was small. I'm happy that we were chosen to be able to live in one of the new divisions in Sim Nation. Charlie and I just got married last week, it was a bit of a rush, I didn't even buy a white dress to wear. We also had our high school graduation last week. The day before our wedding actually. Probably not the best way to start things, but I think we'll be fine.

And here's a picture of me! Uh, make up isn't really my thing, plus it's expensive. And Charlie just interrupted me to tell me how beautiful I look without it. I love him.
So, most of our house was funded for us, but we have pretty much no money, so we're headed in tomorrow to learn what jobs we're being assigned. I'm hoping for something cool, like a secret agent, or astronaut. Going into space would be pretty neat.
Apart from that, we adopted a sweet little kitty, her name is Milly. She's a sphinx, so no worries about my allergies. I'm super excited to see what life is going to bring to us here in Willow Creek. I hope everything works out well and we'll be able to apply as actual citizens before our children are here, then they'll be able to do whatever they like.

A/N:
Hi there! I love random legacies. Up until recently, I've been playing Sims 3. Unfortunately, my laptop is a little on the old side, and unless I'm playing just the base game, it doesn't handle Sims 3 very well anymore. I'm playing Sims 4 with very very little CC, and it seems to be doing fine, so I'm hoping that continues. I won't be able to go back to Sims 3 until sometime next year. Currently trying to find a house to live in, and I have my second child due in October. My oldest child is going to be 18 months old when his little brother arrives, so it'll be a little busy around here soon. But anyway, here's to hoping I can make it a decent headway into playing and posting a little before then. I don't get to get on too often now that my son has learned how much fun buttons are to press (both mine and my laptops). But his naptimes and bedtime is always my favourite part of the day. (He's a very energetic boy).
